Sunday 7

Each Sunday I share 7 things I’m interested in. Here are the 7 things I’m looking forward to this week:

  1. Getting back into running
    • This is a big one for me. I’ve been resting my knee for nearly a month now due to severe soreness dating back to mid-January. Monday night group run can’t come soon enough.
  2. College basketball conference tournaments
    • The beginning of March Madness starts now! Conference tournaments will be held all week and into next Sunday before the Selection Committee picks the 68 teams eligible for the NCAA tournament. I’m picking my Gators to the surprise a couple strong SEC teams this week as they win the SEC tournament championship.
  3. Champions League Round of 16
    • Some heavy hitters, including Barcelona, Arsenal, and Atletico Madrid, find themselves in tough spots going into the final leg of the Round of 16 match ups. I can’t wait to see who comes out on top to get a place in the quarterfinal. Quarterfinal pairings will be randomly selected on March 15th.

  4. 2024 Oscars
    • The Oscars air tonight and while I am not big on award shows, I am interested to see who wins best picture this year. There are some pretty good movies in contention this year. Will Oppenheimer or Killers of the Flower Moon take home the top prize this year? Maybe we will be surprised by one of the other nominees. Tune in to ABC on Sunday night to find out.
  5. St. Patrick’s Day
    • No one does St. Patrick’s Day better than Chicago. If you ever have a chance, make sure to visit the Windy City for St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Having lived there for nearly a decade, I can attest to the greatness of Chicago’s biggest party weekend.
  6. Finishing Traction: Get a Grip on Your Business
    • Anyone interested in improving their business knowledge should read this book. Traction: Get a Grip on Your Business talks about having ‘the right people in the right seats’ and how data driven decisions can improve a company’s performance.

  7. Football is back
    • Mark your calendars! With the combine barely in our rearview mirror, the NFL’s official first day of the league year is March 13th, which means Free Agency will begin this week. Which big players will move to new teams? We already know Russell Wilson was cut last week. In addition to the NFL, college football teams around the country have already started – or will soon begin – their spring football practices. Later this month the UFL will kick off on March 30
